There was fantastic duathlon success on Sunday 2 May for the Team Trisports Development Squad as three athletes from the squad secured qualification slots for the 2010 ITU Duathlon World Championships in Edinburgh this September.

In what is already proving to be a successful year for the squad, Gemma Sargent produced an Age-Group winning performance at The Cambridge Duathlon to book her place in Edinburgh and join the other 4 female athletes from Team Trisports who will be representing their club and country at the World Championships later this year.

Finishing first for the club, and a superb 18th overall, James Foy recorded a blistering time of 2:05:18 to also book his place at the world championships. And again showing strong race pace, Steffan Ford finished just a few minutes behind in 2:08:05.

All three athletes will now return to the triathlon competition ahead of September’s championship.
